Agreement and service provider
These Terms govern your use of the LookTwice website, dashboard, APIs, monitoring tools, and related services (the “Service”). LookTwice is the trading name of the independent software supplier providing the Service (“LookTwice”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Questions may be sent to support@looktwice.dev.
What LookTwice provides
LookTwice provides developer tools for validating business inputs and monitoring named public sources. The Service currently includes Email Check, VAT Check, IBAN Check, Domain Check, CPSC Recall Match and Catalog Watch, and Knowledge Watch. Product descriptions, included usage, rate limits, and current prices are published on the Pricing and API Docs pages.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into a contract and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for account credentials, API keys, workspace members, and activity under your account. API keys must be kept confidential. You must promptly revoke a key that may have been exposed.
Monthly plans and usage allowances
Each subscription includes a fixed API usage allowance for one monthly billing period. The allowance is not money or stored value, cannot be transferred or redeemed, and expires at the end of that billing period. Unused allowance does not roll over. Top-ups and automatic reloads are not offered while this billing model is active.
Recurring billing, renewal, and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the price shown at checkout until canceled. Paddle is our Merchant of Record and processes payment, applicable taxes, receipts, and refunds. You can cancel future renewal at any time through the Paddle customer portal linked from your LookTwice dashboard or Paddle transaction emails. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access remains available until then unless the account is terminated for misuse.
Prices, taxes, and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Paddle may calculate and collect sales tax, VAT, GST, or other transaction taxes based on your location. Your bank or payment provider may charge separate conversion or processing fees. We may change future prices or plan limits with reasonable notice; changes do not alter an already-paid billing period.
Refunds
Refund eligibility is described in the LookTwice Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method.
Acceptable use
You must comply with the LookTwice Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law. You may not interfere with the Service, bypass usage or security controls, access private networks, resell access to the Service as a standalone competing API, or use results to make prohibited high-impact decisions. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate use that threatens the Service, other users, or third parties.
Customer data
You retain rights in data you submit. You grant LookTwice the limited right to process that data only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the reliability of the Service. We do not use customer API inputs to train general-purpose AI models. Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
Source and result boundaries
LookTwice returns evidence-backed signals, not guarantees. A negative CPSC match means no match was found in the named sources at the stated time; it is not clearance to sell or a statement that a product is safe. Email Check does not prove that a mailbox exists. IBAN Check does not prove that an account exists, is active, or belongs to a person. Knowledge Watch may miss changes caused by inaccessible, dynamic, or altered pages. Material decisions require your own review.
Intellectual property
LookTwice and its software, documentation, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your account term. Official-source records and third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and notices.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Providers, public sources, schemas, and laws can change. We may modify or discontinue a feature where necessary for security, legal compliance, provider availability, or product viability. If a paid core feature is materially discontinued during a paid period, contact support for an appropriate remedy.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service or cancel renewal at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for material breach, unlawful use, security risk, nonpayment, or repeated abuse. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Terms that by nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits, will survive.
Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. LookTwice is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. LookTwice’s aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated through the Service or email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel renewal before the next billing date.
