Data transparency

CPSC source freshness, shown plainly.

LookTwice tracks Recalls and Product Safety Warnings independently. If either required source is stale, recall matching fails closed and the call is not charged.

What “fresh” means

A source is fresh when its latest validated synchronization completed less than 24 hours ago. A download does not become active merely because it returned HTTP 200: the batch must parse, meet volume safeguards and finish successfully.

What the counts mean

Source records are rows received from the official source. Parsed records are rows accepted into the validated batch. Counts describe source coverage; they are not a count of individual commercial products in the United States.

How results use these sources

UPC equality can produce an exact match. Brand and model must both agree for likely. Looser text evidence stays possible. A none result only describes the named sources, supplied identifiers and returned check time.
